AetherTAK is a new CastaliaInstitute repository built around TAK Server, a Java-based server platform for secure, interoperable field coordination. It enters the Orchard as infrastructure whose value will depend on a clear Castalian use case, a careful security model, and evidence from a working deployment.
Harvest 2026
The repository was established on 30 July 2026 with upstream TAK Server development documentation, build instructions, PostgreSQL/PostGIS setup guidance, service boundaries, and certificate-oriented configuration notes.
Before 2 November
Document the intended Castalian field scenario, threat model, deployment topology, data-retention policy, and first safe end-to-end test before presenting AetherTAK as operational infrastructure.
